Arrival

Llegada

Y uno de algún modo llega
se encuentra bajando las hombreras de
su vestido
en un dormitorio extraño–
siente el otoño
que deja caer sus hojas de seda y lino
sobre sus tobillos.
el cuerpo cursi y venoso emerge
retorcido sobre sí mismo
¡como viento de invierno…!

Arrival

And yet one arrives somehow,
finds himself loosening the hooks of
her dress
in a strange bedroom—
feels the autumn
dropping its silk and linen leaves
about her ankles.
The tawdry veined body emerges
twisted upon itself
like a winter wind . . . !
